3.1.1 When you visit our website, we process the following data automatically:

3.1.2 The purpose for processing of this data is to

  • detect, prevent, and investigate attacks on our website.

3.1.3 We process the data on the basis of our prevailing legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) which is to achieve the purposes set out under Point 1.2.

3.2.1 When you get in contact with us, we process personal data which you provided to us on, e.g.

  • email address
  • telephone Number
  • other information you provided to us on a voluntary basis

3.2.2 The purpose for processing is to establish contact with you and to process your inquiry

3.2.3 We process the data on the basis of our prevailing legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) which is to achieve the purposes set out under Point 2.2.

3.3. When you sign-up for our newsletter

3.3.1 When sign-up for our newsletter, we process personal data which you provided to us on

  • email address
  • name

3.3.2 The purpose for processing is to provide you information on current successes and milestones, innovations, our presence at trade fairs and events, more information on project partners – in short, everything worth knowing about DEEP Projects.

3.3.3 We process the data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time.

 3.4. Transfer of your personal data

3.4.1 We will not actively disclose your personal data to third parties, except we are required to do so by law.

3.4.2 We do not actively transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

3.5. Retention periods

3.5.1 We store log data for seven days.

3.5.2 In other cases mentioned (e.g. inquiries by e-mail), we cannot clearly stating the retention period in advance. Your personal data will only be kept for as long as we reasonably consider necessary for achieving the purposes set out under Point 3 above.

3.5.3 We will, in any case, retain your personal data for as long as there are statutory retention obligations or potential legal claims are not yet time-barred.

3.6. Your Rights in Connection with your personal data

  2. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The LRZ is governed by „Der Bayerische Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz (BayLfD)“, https://www.datenschutz-bayern.de/
  3. If you send an inquiry via our service desk (https://servicedesk.lrz.de), it will be processed by our employees trained in data protection. You can contact the data protection officer at datenschutz@lrz.de. Two employees of the LRZ who are obliged to secrecy also have access to this e-mail address. If you want to contact the data protection officer directly with confidential content, please use the postal address.
